Intro:
Insects
are the most abundant and diverse of all creatures. One tree in a rainforest
in South America was sprayed and resulted in around 30,000 individuals .
There are tens of thousands of insects that have not as yet been described
(named). Species lists for insects are never complete and little exist for
Magnetic Island. Many insects can only be identified by order or family
. Many are not well known or studied. For this reason, here, we will present
a growing photo gallery of insects found on Magnetic Island rather than
separate pages. As more come to hand they will be added. This gallery is
by no means comprehensive.(last added to 29.01.07)
